Anthony (company director and founder) hasn’t stopped tinkering since, with the only difference being enlarged spanners and parts.
In 2003 the first milestone fell into place with a fully customised and
V8 engine converted Toyota Hilux truck, which the company now
uses today. This led to a second truck build incorporating monster truck looks and styling.
After completion of the monster truck the first Pilgrim Sumo Cobra replica build took place in2004, this car is Anthony’s personal car and is now used as Absolute Horsepower’sdemonstrator. After hitting the road in July 2004 the Cobra has generated growing interest and in turn has led to many more builds to this date. It was once said that if you could put a V8 into a fridge then Anthony would.
However comical this sounds we at Absolute Horsepower are dedicating ourselves to Cobra replica builds of which we are specialising in the Pilgrim Sumo.
Our services now offer complete turnkey builds, part builds, spraying facilities, general servicing and free friendly advice. All of which takes place with a four strong workforce in Taunton Somerset.
Our premises are currently expanding to incorporate a further 2 bay build area with new vehicle lifts which in turn will be attached to our new in house spray shop facility. By painting our cobras in house we aim to keep closer tabs on quality issues and also pass on savings to our customers.
